Physical DescriptionLapel pin, "Grande Ufficale Dell 'Ordine Al Merito della Republica Italiana' ." Miniature eight point star overlaid by a white enamal cross with four eagles with wings spread between the arms of the cross, wrapped in green and red striped ribbon. The Order of Merit is awarded for contributions in the fields of literature, the economy, public service, and social, philanthropic and humanitarian activities. Presented in a green case.
