Physical DescriptionHumidor with a malachite tile exterior. The initials "JFK" are inlaid in silver on the lid. The interior of the lid is lined with silver. The box has a cedar wood interior and a silver base.
Historical NoteThis gift was presented to John F. Kennedy by His Excellency Adolfo Lopez Mateos during President Kennedy's state visit to Mexico in June 1962.

Custodial History NoteItem was a gift to President and Mrs. Kennedy from Lopez Mateos, President of Mexico. It was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
