Physical DescriptionBrass engraved die with the Presidential seal, for stamping wax seals. The manufacturer's number "123075" is embossed around rim. The chop has a wooden handle.
Historical NotePresident Kennedy kept this chop on his desk in the Oval Office of the White House.
Additional DetailsCustodial History NoteItem was part of the office materials associated with the Kennnedy Administration Oval Office owned by the government. Ownership was transferred to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
