Physical DescriptionRuby red silk neck tie printed with the word THINK in a repeating pattern. Embroidered label "Shur" on back with retail locations of Palm Beach, Florida; Southampton, New York; and Washington, D.C. included.
Historical NoteThis tie belonged to John F. Kennedy. He can be seen wearing it in photographs taken during the White House visit of Soviet cosmonaut Gherman Titov and American astronaut John Glenn on May 3, 1962.

Custodial History NoteItem was part of the personal collection of President Kennedy, it was donated to the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation Inc. by the Estate of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in 1996. Ownership was transferred from the John F. Kennedy Foundation to the John F. Kennedy Library and Museum in 2009.
