Physical DescriptionA suit in salt-and-pepper wool tweed after spring-summer model number 3270 by Hubert de Givenchy. The understated flecked wool jacket has a fringed neckline and front lapel with two large plastic buttons down center and two flap pockets at sides. The 3/4 sleeve jacket is paired with a matching pencil skirt.
Historical NoteFirst Lady Jacqueline Kennedy wore this suit on a museum tour of the Lourve with Andre Malraux in Paris France on June 2, 1961 and during President Kennedy's address to the United Nations in New York, New York on September 21, 1961.

Custodial History NoteItem is from the personal collection of President and Mrs. Kennedy. It was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
