Physical DescriptionAmerican Red Cross uniform: wool twill jacket and skirt in slate blue. Pencil skirt with side zipper. Jacket has American Red Cross insignia on proper left shoulder: "Military Welfare Service Volunteer".
Historical NoteThis uniform was worn by Kathleen Kennedy, John F. Kennedy's sister, during her service as a American Red Cross Volunteer in WWII.
Additional DetailsCustodial History NoteItem was owned by the Kennedy Family and donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by Mrs. Joseph P. Kennedy in 1975.
