Physical DescriptionHand carved relief sculpture of an angel with serpents. The hand carving of this relief took approximately 2 months. This relief was created by a family living in a Sindhi village engaged in producing this type of sculpture for over 300 years.
Historical NoteThe sculpture was presented to President Kennedy by Zulfidar Bhutto during his visit to the White House on October 4, 1963

Custodial History NoteItem was a gift from a foreign official to the President and First Lady received through the Executive office during the Kennedy Administration and transferred to the General Service Administration where it was held until donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
