Physical DescriptionWhite straw cloth beret with black petersham ribbon tied in a bow at side.
Historical NoteThis beret was worn by Mrs. John F. Kennedy during her arrival in Ottawa, Canada on May 16, 1961. She chose to wear it again in Paris, France on June 2, 1961 touring museums with Andre Malraux, the French minister of culture.

This beret was given a playful matelot twist via the added structure of the grosgrain trim.
