Physical DescriptionA two Piece Day suit in red wool twill with a pencil skirt and jacket. This suit has elaborate back detailing of a twisted martingale half-belt. Curving seams shape the body, sleeves and back of the skirt. The jacket has rolled collar with a five button center closure, and two hip pockets.
Historical NoteFirst Lady Jacqueline Kennedy wore this suit to visit the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Ottawa, Canada on May 16, 1961.

Custodial History NoteItem is from the personal collection of President and Mrs. Kennedy. It was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
