Physical DescriptionBlue cotton twill United States Air Force flight MA-1 bomber jacket with embroidered left breast emblem of the Presidential Seal and initials JFK. Jacket has a waist-length cut, two snap close pockets, and zippered front.
Historical NoteThe MA-1 jackets were issued to the United States Air Force and Navy pilots and flight crews in the 1950's. This specific Air Force version, featuring the Presidential Seal, is synonymous with the casual travel attire of U.S. commanders-in-chief aboard Air Force One. This particular jacket was a personal staple of President John F. Kennedy’s wardrobe.
