Mark Baskett

Mark Baskett was an 18th-century British printer who served as the official "Printer to the King’s most Excellent Majesty" under King George III in London. Inheriting a powerful family printing dynasty from his grandfather, John Baskett, he held the lucrative royal patent to publish government documents, King James Bibles, and Books of Common Prayer. He is most famous historically for printing the original British government folio editions of the Stamp Act of 1765 and its subsequent 1766 Repeal.
