The museum collection of the John F. Kennedy Library contains artifacts that tell the story of the life and career of John Fitzgerald Kennedy. This material includes items associated with John F. Kennedy, the Kennedy family, and the Kennedy Presidency. Other artifacts relate to the 1960 presidential campaign, the civil rights movement, the Cuban missile crisis, the establishment of the Peace Corps, the Kennedy administration space program, the ongoing legacy of President Kennedy, and memorial tributes given to First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy after the death of President Kennedy. Included in the collection is a small collection of artifacts associated with Ernest Hemingway such as paintings, personal items, and World War I and II medals.
