Physical DescriptionSmall white china plate with blue rim. The edge of the plate is painted with a broad band of blue with gold stars on top. Next to the blue is a thin band of gold, then red with gold dots, and gold again, with gold cross-hatching radiating towards the center. The emblem at the center consists of a gold flower on a shield with two songbirds sitting on top of the shield, framed by blue swags. This plate was used as ashtray by President Kennedy in the White House.

It was either government property or was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
