Physical DescriptionDressing room table perfume set: a footed silver tray with one large and two small circular vessels attached. The center larger vessel has a star and crescent design on the top of a hinged lid.
Historical NoteThese pieces are part of a dresser set presented to First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy by the crown prince of Libya, Hasan al-Rida al-Sanusi, during his state visit to the White House on October 16, 1962.
Additional DetailsCustodial History NoteItem was a gift from a foreign official to the President and First Lady received through the Executive office during the Kennedy Administration and transferred to the General Service Administration where it was held until donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
