Historical NoteIn 1952, during John F. Kennedy's Senate campaign he developed a call-in program called "Coffee with the Kennedy's". In order to appeal to women voters, JFK's sisters, Jean and Eunice answered phone calls from the public while Senator Kennedy answered questions live during the televised program. It was the first time this format was used during a campaign.
