Physical DescriptionRectangular bronze medal with seal of a woman holding a pallet and paint brush on recto. The seal originated in 1904 when the prominent medalist, sculptor Victor David Brenner, modeled the graceful design symbolizing the arts of painting, sculpture, and architecture. Inscribed on verso on a brass plaque: "Posthumously presented to Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in recognition of a lifetime of devotion to improving the built environment and promoting the fine arts".
