Historical NoteB. F. Bowman made two of these walking sticks as gifts. The one pictured here was sent to President Kennedy; the other to Vice President Lyndon Johnson.

Custodial History NoteArtifact was received through the White House Gift Unit in 1961, custody was transferred to the government through the Deed of Gift of the Estate of President John F. Kennedy on 2/15/1965.
