Historical NoteThis rocking chair was presented to John F. Kennedy by Prime Minister Pearson in Hyannisport on May 11, 1963. The rocking chair was later used by President Kennedy in the study of his home in Virginia.

Custodial History NoteItem was a gift to President and Mrs. Kennedy from Lester B. Pearson, Prime Minister of Canada. It was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.
