Physical DescriptionPair of bone china blue jays. The birds are posed perched on tree stumps with backs glazed blue, wings turquoise, and breasts and throats pink.
Historical NoteThese birds were presented to President John F. Kennedy by Prime Minister Harold Macmillan, Prime Minister of England (1957-1963), at his country house Birch Grove in Sussex during the President's state visit to England June 29-30, 1963.

Custodial History NoteItem was a gift from a foreign official to the President and First Lady received through the Executive office during the Kennedy Administration and transferred to the General Service Administration where it was held until donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
