Physical DescriptionHandwritten letter from Pope John XXIII to President Kennedy thanking him for the support and interest the United States rendered of The Second Ecumenical Council of the Vatican, or Vatican II, which was an Ecumenical Council of the Roman Catholic Church opened under Pope John XXIII in 1962 and closed under Pope Paul VI in 1965. The letter also offers a blessing for President Kennedy and his family.
