Physical DescriptionLucite Cigarette box with hinged lid . The lid has a calendar for the month of October engraved in gold with the dates of the Cuban Missile Crisis circled in red and the initials of "JFK" and "RFK" in black below days of the week.

Historical NoteThis cigarette box was one of the prototype designs for the Cuban Missile Crisis Calendar of October 1962 which President Kennedy presented to each Cabinet Member.

Custodial History NoteThis item is material associated with the White House the Kennedy Administration and the Executive Offices of the President. It was either government property or was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
