The baseball was signed by players, managers, and coaches of the 1962 All Star game: Edd J. Roush, W.B. McKechnie, George Sisler, Pie Traynor, Manager Fred Hutchinson, Manager Casey Stengel, Manager Al Lopez, Luke Appling, Waly Alston, Pete Reiser, Leo Durocher, Duke Snider, Birdie Tebbetts, Warren Spahn, Bob Scheffing, Norm Cash, Rocky Colavito, Johnny Keane, Marty Marion, Stan Musial, Hank Bauer, Ed Lopat.
Historical NotePresident Kennedy threw out the first pitch of the 32nd Major League Baseball (MLB) All-Star Game on July 10, 1962. This ball is autographed by the players of that game.
Additional DetailsCustodial History NoteItem was a gift from a member of the general public to the President and Mrs. Kennedy received by the Executive Office of the President betwen 1961-1963 and held by the General Service Administration until it was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
