Physical Description1962 per day desk calendar in an ivory holder. The holder is rectangular with the surface covered with square ivory tiles. Two metal loose-leaf type loops hold the paper calendar in place. This calendar is part of an 8 piece desk set.
Historical NoteThis desk calendar is part of a desk set presented to President Kennedy during prime minister of the Somali Republic (1960-1969) Dr. Abdirashid Ali Shermarke's state visit to the White House November 27, 1962.

Custodial History NoteItem was a gift from a foreign official to the President and First Lady received through the Executive office during the Kennedy Administration and transferred to the General Service Administration where it was held until donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
