Physical DescriptionPorcelain shell shaped dish decorated with a pair of Irish shamrocks on either side of the lug end in green. An Irish harp is painted in gold on the interior bottom in the center. The rim and lug end are painted in gold.
Historical NoteThis dish was presented as a gift to President John F. Kennedy from the Ambassador of Ireland, Thomas J. Kiernan on St. Patrick's Day 1962. The dish was presented filled with shamrocks.
Additional DetailsCustodial History NoteItem was a gift to President and Mrs. Kennedy from Thomas J. Kiernan, Ambassador of Ireland. It was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
