Physical DescriptionBronze replica of the western wall of the Israeli Lounge at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, whose theme is Psalm 150, depicting the artist's conception of ancient musical instruments, with their Hebrew names in English letters.
Historical NotePresented to Senator Edward M. Kennedy by Ambassador Yitzhak Rabin at the dedication of the wall of the Israeli Lounge of the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts which was funded by Israel.
Psalm 150 reads in part: "Praise the Lord… Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, Praise him with the harp & lyre, Praise him with the tambourine and dancing, Praise him with the strings and flute, Praise him with the clash of cymbals, Praise him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord."
