Physical Description10 Super X257 Roberts bullets in a tan leather case. Case closes with a leather strap, back of case has loops to fasten to a belt. Stiched together with cotton thread along outer edges. Inside of case has a cardboard cut out to accommodate 20 bullets.
Historical NoteThese bullets were manufactured for use in Remington and Winchester rifles. Ernest Hemingway presumably used this ammuniton during his various hunting excursions.
Additional DetailsCustodial History NoteThis item was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by Mary Hemingway, the wife of Ernest Hemingway in 1986.
