Physical DescriptionPlaster Female doll wearing red, white, yellow striped smocked tunic, burgundy scarf around waist with white handkerchief tucked into it, underneath is a white rayon dress embroidered down the front, linen pants with embroidered bands around ankles, matching scarf on head, braided human hair extensions, black leather shoes and metal cross necklace around neck. Doll cries when put on its back.
Historical NoteThis doll was presented to Caroline Kennedy by Archbishop Makarios III during his visit to the White House on June 5, 1962.
Additional DetailsCustodial History NoteItem was a gift to President and Mrs. Kennedy from Archbishop Makarios III, President of Cyprus. It was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
