Physical DescriptionMale doll with wood body. Doll is dressed in pink cotton trousers, white and blue striped satin Tobe (high neck gown) and black silk robe with gold braid trim. Orange and red turban. He holds orange prayer or "worry" beads in his hand.
Historical NoteThis male doll dressed in the traditional costume of a groom was a gift to Caroline Kennedy from the Mayor of Bethlehem Ayoub Mussaliam in the summer of 1961.
Additional DetailsCustodial History NoteItem was a gift to President and Mrs. Kennedy from Ayoub Mussallam, Mayor of Bethlehem. It was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
