Physical DescriptionJapanese boy doll with bisque body. He wears a hakama of black, cream and multicolored print crepe, a pleated skirt of bronze with gold and multicolored brocade.
Historical NoteIchimatsu dolls were among the Friendship Dolls exchanged between Japan and America to promote goodwill after passage of the U.S. Immigration Act of 1924 banned East Asian immigration to the United States. This doll was a gift to Caroline Kennedy
