Physical DescriptionFemale doll with plastic body wearing a black wool festival costume with a front pleated skirt and apron, a green and red top with bib and suspenders and a sash. Black kerchief with ends brought up and tied at top of head. Grey stockings, black shoes.
Historical NotePresented to Caroline Kennedy during Prime Minister Gerhardsen's state visit to the White House on May 10, 1962. This doll is dressed in the historically-based costume worn during National Day celebrations.
Additional DetailsCustodial History NoteItem was a gift to President and Mrs. Kennedy from Einar Gerhardsen, Prime Minister of Norway. It was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
