Physical DescriptionOil painting of the schooner "Fairmorse" off the coast of Nova Scotia. In perspective of being on the deck looking aft, the artist depicts seven fishermen working surrounded by barrels, fish, and nets.
Historical NoteThis painting was presented at the White House by the artist, on July 6, 1962. It hung outside President Kennedy's Oval Office in Kenneth O'Donnell's office.

Custodial History NoteItem was a gift from a member of the general public to the President and Mrs. Kennedy received by the Executive Office of the President betwen 1961-1963 and held by the General Service Administration until it was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
