Physical DescriptionPatchwork cotton quilt with step pattern made with calico and solid colored fabric. Log cabin patchwork quilt with half of block in white and off-white and half in printed and solid brightly colored fabrics. Blocks arranged in straight furrows arrangement, making a step pattern. Red, white, and blue border, bound with top fabric from front to back. Diagonal hand-quilting along the line of the furrows.

Custodial History NoteItem was a gift from a member of the general public to the President and Mrs. Kennedy received by the Executive Office of the President betwen 1961-1963 and held by the General Service Administration until it was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
