Physical DescriptionDoll with plastic body, wearing a blue cotton twill uniform with 4 patch pockets and a Girl Guide beret with pin. Uniform is decorated with an insignia patch on her left shoulder that reads "141 Toronto Co." and a maple leaf pin at right shoulder. She wears a navy tie and black belt with maple leaf buckle. Doll has white cord around neck with silver whistle at on end which is hooked into belt at right side. Shoes are black, socks navy.
Historical NoteThe Girl Guides of Canada Troop 141 of Toronto brought this doll or President Kennedy’s daughter Caroline when they visited the White House on April 7, 1961.
Girl Guides are the Canadian equivalent of the Girl Scouts in the United States. This doll wears the lanyard and whistle traditionally used by the Patrol Leader.

Custodial History NoteItem was a gift from a member of the general public to the President and Mrs. Kennedy received by the Executive Office of the President betwen 1961-1963 and held by the General Service Administration until it was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
