Physical DescriptionManufactured sculpture of a fish carved from animal horn. Fin, scales and eyes are made of plastic. Body of fish is slightly arched, mouth is red.
Historical NoteThis fish was sent to President Kennedy by Julia Vanegas de Rodriguez of Bogota, Colombia. It was received at the White House on April 11, 1962.
Additional DetailsCustodial History NoteItem was a gift from a member of the general public to the President and Mrs. Kennedy received by the Executive Office of the President betwen 1961-1963 and held by the General Service Administration until it was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
