Physical DescriptionCertificate from Motor Torpedo Boat Squadrons Training Center stating that John F. Kennedy, Lieutenant (jg), I-V(s), USNR satisfactorily completed training course. In the fall of 1942 Kennedy entered the Motor Torpedo Boat Squadron Training Center in Melville, Rhode Island. On 10 October 1942, he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant, Junior Grade. He completed this training December 2, 1942 and was ordered to the training squadron, Motor Torpedo Squadron FOUR, for duty as the Commanding Officer of a motor torpedo boat, PT 101.
