Physical DescriptionRectangular wooden chest with hinged lid. The box is decorated with carved border around the edge of the lid and has a layer of copper nailed to the top of the lid decorated with embossed scrollwork. In the center of the lid, framed by the copper is a painted flower.
Historical NoteChest belonged to John F. Fitzgerald, JFK's grandfather, from the Bowdoin Street apartment in Boston, MA.

Custodial History NoteItem was owned by the Kennedy Family and donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
