Historical NotePhotograph was sent through the US Embassy in London to President Kennedy by Queen Elizabeth II and received at the White House Gift Unit in June of 1961. Jacqueline Kennedy Onasis gave the photograph to the John F. Kennedy Museum in April 1976.

Custodial History NoteItem was a gift to President and Mrs. Kennedy from Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of Great Britain. It was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in 1976.
