Physical DescriptionBible written in Amharic with an English translation of the preface written by Emperor Haile Selassie I. The pages are bound with a green leather cover embossed in gold with a cross beneath which is Amharic text.
Historical NoteThis bible was presented to President John F. Kennedy by the Ambassador of Ethiopia, Berhanou Dinke for Emperor Haile Selassie.

Custodial History NoteItem was a gift to President and Mrs. Kennedy from His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie, Emperor of Ethiopia. It was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
