Physical DescriptionRound, gold colored metal pendant with embossed overlapped profiles of John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson facing proper left on obverse, reads "Kennedy / Inaugural Ball / January 20, 1961 / Johnson" on reverse. The charm was presented to guests at Inaugural Ball and designed for women to wear on charm bracelets.
Historical NoteThe Inaugural Ball Committee presented to guests at the ball, gold and silver charms. Gold were presented to women, as bracelet charms, and silver to men, as key chain charms. A special Inaugural Ball medal was presented to Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson as a token of appreciation.
