Physical DescriptionHardbound First Edition copy published by Wilfred Funk, Inc. of New York. Bound in Bancroft Elton red cloth cover. Jacket was designed by Frank Lieberman with an illustration of a sleeping lion on cover. John F. Kennedy wrote this book while he was a senior in college at Harvard University. Kennedy attempts in this book to explain why England was so ill prepared for World War II.
Historical NoteThis book was President Kennedy's personal copy which he kept in his desk drawer in the Oval Office.
