Historical NoteThis drawing is part of a collection of children's drawings from the Crema Middle School in Crema, Italy that focused on important events in the Kennedy presidency. In this image, the student depicts the Soviet missiles in Cuba that led to the U.S. naval blockade--termed a quarantine"--of the island at the start of the Cuban Missile Crisis .
Additional DetailsCustodial History NoteItem was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by a Crema Middle School Student in Crema, Italy in 1974.
