Physical DescriptionWood stamp with rubber base bearing the signature of Jacqueline Kennedy, under which is "Postage and Fees Paid". This is a Privilege franking rubber stamp with a pen-signed facsimile signature of First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy which was used to stamp letters or other parcel to be sent without the application of an actual postage stamp. In the United States this is called the "Congressional frank" which can only be used for "Official Business" mail.
Additional DetailsCustodial History NoteItem was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation in 2009. It was given to the Foundation by the Estate of Mrs. Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in 1995.
