Physical DescriptionBronze medallion with the Cross of Loraine on a shield and "National Tuberculosis Association". Reverse side "Presented to John F. Kennedyin gratitude for contributing the prestige of his office 1962 Christmas Seal Campaign" with a microscope under lettering.
Historical NoteThis medal was presneted to John F. Kennedy by the National Tuberculosis Assoication in 1962. The Cross of Loraine is a symbol related to the Christmas Seals program as a symblol for the crusade against Turberculosis.
Additional DetailsCustodial History NoteItem was presented to President Kennedy in 1962 and held by the General Service Administration until it was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
