Physical Description.900 gold medal struck by the Bavarian State Mint as a posthumous tribute to John F. Kennedy. Profile of President Kennedy and "USA John F. Kennedy Prasident" on obverse. Cross and palm frond and "Wir Alle Haben Ihn Verloren 22.Nov.1963" on reverse, meaning "We Have All Lost Him." This medal was distributed in the United States by the International Coin and Medal Corporation, New York, New York
Additional DetailsCustodial History NoteItem was a gift from a member of the general public to First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy received by the Executive Office of the President after the death of President Kennedy in 1964, it was transferred to General Service Administration and held until donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965
