Physical DescriptionFirst Day of Issue stamp commemorating the Cenntenial of the Civil War 1865-1965 and the Appomatax, the meeting that ended the war. On the left in black ink is a cachet of Major General US Grant and General Robert E. Lee. The envelope is addressed to Master John F. Kennedy Jr. in typed black ink.

Custodial History NoteItem was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation in 2009. The Foundation acquired the item through a gift from the Estate of Jaqueline Kennedy Onassis in 1995.
