Physical DescriptionBrass and copper tray with a bas relief of Vishnu in the center surrounded by floral and faunal motifs and a repeating pattern of female deities with linked arms running around the edge of the plate. The copper and silver metalwork was cast separately and adhered to the brass. This tray was intended to be used as a wall hanging.
Additional DetailsCustodial History NoteItem was a gift from a foreign official to the President and First Lady received through the Executive office during the Kennedy Administration and transferred to the General Service Administration where it was held until donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
