Physical DescriptionA suit in black ribbed wool by Garrigue with shell blouse in ivory dot-embroidered silk satin (Model number 04637). The jacket is lined in the same fabric as the blouse. The blouse cuffs are an illusion, when the jacket is removed, a sleeveless shell is revealed.
Historical NoteMrs. John F. Kennedy wore this suit for a Mark Shaw photographic sitting in Georgetown, Washington D.C. in 1958. As First Lady, she also wore this suit for a tour of officials of the American National Theater at the White House on March 12, 1963.

Custodial History NoteItem is from the personal collection of President and Mrs. Kennedy. It was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
