Historical NoteThis hat was worn by First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy during her state visit to Ottowa, Canada on May 17, 1961. She also wore it to visit the children's hospital in Bogota, Colombia on December 17, 1961.

Custodial History NoteItem is from the personal collection of President and Mrs. Kennedy. It was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
