Physical DescriptionA three-masted ship model of Chinese junk of war made of solid silver. A junk is the name for a common type of native sailing vessel in Chinese seas. They are flat-bottomed, have square prows, prominent stem, full stern, suspended rudders, and rigged with lug sails. The junk has two anchors hanging over the prow, and decorative pennants flying over the stern. The back rail is decorated with grotesque shields.
