Physical DescriptionA sleeveless lemon yellow wool sheath dress and a matching jacket with plain weave silk lining and passementerie button at collar. Model # 2490
Historical NoteFirst Lady Jacqueline Kennedy wore this dress for a photographic sitting in John F. Kennedy's Senate office in Washington, DC in 1959 with photographer Mark Shaw.
This ensemble was also worn by Mrs. Kennedy as she joined President Kennedy and Vice President Johnson in watching Astronaut Alan Shepard's historic space launch on television in the West Wing of the White House, on May 5, 1961.

Custodial History NoteItem is from the personal collection of Mrs. Kennedy. It was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
